Comic Review of Aegis issue #1
Hey guys. This is Fantastic_Becca. And, I’m going to be reviewing Aegis today and I’m so excited.
The first thought I had when I started reading this comic was the prologue was way too long. But hey, who’s judging right?
But then, my second thought on this comic was "….wow!"
This is just my type of comic: fantasy, with an ample dash of action.
Now the story.
Aegis is about a world with three regions; Empyrea, Echostrum and Atmos (Earth is here, somewhere). This alone got me hooked and this is just page three! Amazing, right?
I noticed that there are three types of beings on earth: The Pretors, the Seraphs and humans. The Pretors and Seraphs are known as ‘Agents’.
The Pretors are more like the devils that affect people’s choices and gives people Ill luck or something similar.
The Seraph are like angels; they fly (With the aid of wings. Awesome right?), wear white mixed with gold and restrain the Pretors from attacking the humans (or sometimes killing them, lol).
And finally, the humans… they are, well, humans.
Moving on.
Meet Dede, a loving husband and father, lost his wife two months ago in a car accident. Ever since then, Dede hasn’t been himself. However, he knew that he had to keep on fighting and living, at least for his daughter Nikky.
If you read further into the story, you’d notice that Dede’s kid, Nikky, was able to sense the ‘Agents’, whereas Dede and practically everyone else wasn’t. Is this because she is still a child, young and innocent? Or is there more to it than what meets the eye?
Main Characters:
Dede Phillips: The protagonist of this story. Has a wife (now deceased) and a daughter. We will be seeing more of Dede in the future, I just know it.
Angela Phillips: The late wife of Dede and mother of Nikky.
Nikky Phillips: Daughter of Dede and Angela.
Azara: This is a Seraph, wielded for battle against the Pretors.
Kabza: This is a Seraph, wielded for battle against the Pretors.
Summary/Conclusion:
So, I am trying to review this comic without giving out spoilers but it’s so hard. The comic is that amazing to me.
However, if you’re into different worlds or regions, this comic is for you. If you believe in the supernatural, this comic is definitely for you. If you’re also in action, fantasy or adventure etc. This comic is yours to read.
